Hi. It’s me. Janine.

Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you’ve got a product that’s going gang-busters online or farmers markets and now you want to take it to the world. Or maybe you’re feeling lost and a little stuck trying to do allll the things all by yourself.

I get it. I’ve been there, got the tee shirt. In my 25 years+ of working across a huge range of brands and business, I’ve learnt a whole lot about what works (and what doesn’t) along the way.

From how to launch a new brand into the USA straight into Costco as an emerging small NZ brand (hint - its HARD and EXPENSIVE), through to launching a brand in six weeks into Foodstuffs (including all new packaging design!) and turning around declining established brands that have lost their way - I’ve done the work to put real money in the tin.

My career has been a journey from category analyst through to Head of Marketing, and Global Innovation & Category Manager for some of New Zealand’s largest organisations.

Switching sides to work as a retail Category Manager (Buyer) for over three years, and managing a $30m+ portfolio of brands & suppliers - gave me the insights on where small brands often get lost dealing with big retailers.

That’s where the idea for Pitchfork came from.

  • To provide the practical tools, training and expert support to get through rocky times when you feel all at sea.

  • To share a lifetime of experience and get to ‘pick my brain’ on all things sales, marketing, retail, new product development and more.

I have a consistent track record of putting serious money in the tin, delivering structure and ways of working that help you sort the chaos and get clarity; and a network of experts across the industry to tap into.

You’ll find me most often on LinkedIn (Instagram is for personal cat spam only) and sharing help through Retail Rookie - my personal passion project.
